Apply Season

Panels in depth, six stills.

Piece C · the "UI panels in 3D space" move (Fudail Shahzad's Stripe concept) · 1080×1920 · 30 fps · 11.6 s · built in After Effects by script, so the project opens and every word, colour and timing is a layer you can change.

What it does: real screens from the staging app stand as panels in 3D space. A one-node camera glides the whole piece and never stops; depth of field keeps the near panel sharp and softens the far ones. The words sit flat in front, one word at a time, one in stamp red.

Read it as pictures. Does the near screen read at phone size? Does each sentence land before the scene leaves? Say which still is wrong, or say it holds.

  1. Still at 0.5 seconds: the hand-lettered promise, Your shows, watched., with the door screen soft behind it
    0.5 s · S1 the promise

"Your shows, watched." in the hand-lettered face, word by word, "watched." in red. The door stands behind, out of focus, on kraft.

  2. Still at 2 seconds: the Crozet card with the red ring arrives sharp, the tall wall of three shows behind it
    2.0 s · S2 save

"Save the shows you apply to." The ring card (Crozet, next deadline Jan 31) arrives near and sharp; the wall of three shows stands tall behind it.

  3. Still at 4 seconds: the search box with Mount Dora typed in, the How we check card behind
    4.0 s · S3 check

"We check their official sources." The search box near with Mount Dora typed in; the How-we-check card behind, softened.

  4. Still at 6 seconds: the Mount Dora card, Open now, near; the Babcock card and the door in depth
    6.0 s · S4 deadline

"Nearest deadline first." Mount Dora, Open now, near and sharp; Babcock Ranch behind it and the door far back.

  5. Still at 8 seconds: three panels fanned in depth under the line Dates on your calendar
    8.0 s · S5 calendar

"Dates on your calendar." The three panels fan out in depth while the camera keeps gliding.

  6. Still at 10.5 seconds: the end card, the Apply Season wordmark, Free. No ads, ever., and the address
    10.5 s · S6 end card

The wordmark, "Free. No ads, ever.", the door's address. Holds to the end.

The MP4 is the by-product. The deliverable is renders/piece.aep: open it in After Effects, every scene is a group of layers named S1 to S6.
